The parade and fireworks for 2016 will be held on Monday, July 4.
2016 Parade Theme
“WE WILL NEVER FORGET”
In Honor and Remembrance of the Victims, their Families and Heroes of 9/11
The parade will start at 8:30am at Amherst Road and Paris Avenue. It will proceed down Amherst Road, turn left onto East Pine Street, turn left onto Edgewood Avenue and end at the judges’ reviewing stand in front of “B” building at the High School. The parade route is approximately 1.3 miles.
Parade participants are required to check-in with their Street Captain by 7:45am sharp! Water guns, water balloons, and water of any kind are NOT permitted to be thrown at the parade.
There is no rain date for the parade. It will take place rain or shine - except for severe weather.
The Athletic Events for kids and adults will begin at 10:45am on the High School football field. There will be races and games for all ages (weather permitting).
9/11 MEMORIAL DEDICATION AT THE FIREHOUSE:
The Audubon Fire Department will be holding a dedication ceremony at11:30am at the Firehouse on W. Merchant Street, right before their annual Open House. Everyone is welcome to attend this special occasion.
FIREHOUSE OPEN HOUSE:
There will be free refreshments, hot dogs, soda, water ice and fire truck rides from 12:00pm - 2:00pm at this annual event.
The Evening Program starts at 7:30pm in the High School football stadium. High Noone Express will again be performing.
The fireworks will begin just after dark.
The rain date for the fireworks is Saturday, July 9.
